£4 From Eventbrite or at the shop.
Join us this Monday at Deben Vinyl for a playback of Daft Punk's seminal LP Homework. Three decades after Daft Punk rocketed to international fame, we spin an original pressing of the game changing mid-Nineties LP on our in house, high-quality, hi-fi system.
It's 30 Years since Daft Punk un-leashed their depth-charged take on house and disco, launching a career that would see them become the biggest dance music act in the world.
The LP wil be introduced by DJ Ben Osborne, who'll highlight its significance and recall some of his connections with the band and the French electronic scene over the last 30 years. Ben was one of the first UK journalists to pick up on the emerging French sound in the 1990s, whilst writing for The Gaurdian and DJ Mag (amongst others) and hosting his own dance music show on London's Xfm radio station. Ben DJed extensively in France in this period, and was writer of the nightlife section of Time Out Paris for three years running.
Please join us for the LP Playback. There will be a bar, vinyl to browse and Ben is on hand mix your selections from the shop into an on-the-spot, communally curated set.
